Small Island eyes up big stars
04/09/2005 - 13:59:40Hollywood stars Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet and Halle Berry are favourites to star in the movie adaptation of hit novel Small Island.
Filming of Andrea Levy's award-winning book will start in 2006 and Ruby Films co-director Alison Owen is desperate to sign the actresses soon.
She says: "It is early days with regards to casting but I think Halle would be perfect. And I would really like to see either Cate or Kate in the role of Queenie."
