Ronaldinho: I want to end career at Barca
Ronaldinho insists he would like to remain with Barcelona for the rest of his career.
The Brazilian on Wednesday agreed a new two-year contract extension which ties him to the Primera Liga champions until 2010.
His decision to extend his stay at the Nou Camp is a notable coup for Barca, who are hoping to build on last season’s success and hold off the challenge of big-spending Real Madrid.
“I am very happy and I will continue to do my best as before, I will not be content just to pass the time here, I want to win things,” said the world footballer of the year, whose buy-out clause now stands at £85.5m (€125m).
“I never considered other offers as I always wanted to stay here. I put happiness above any price and here I have everything that I want. It was the interest of both to have such a long deal and I would have agreed to sign for 10 years.”
