ISEQ breaks 6700 mark

The ISEQ continued to gain ground this morning as it added 22.94 points in early trading.

It was a mostly positive morning for the financials. Bank of Ireland was up 10c at €12.90. Anglo Irish added 8c to €11.02, while AIB was up 5c to €17.55.

Irish Life & Permanent was the only bank to lose ground, as it shed 12c to €14.90.

Construction giant CRH surged ahead by 27c this morning to €22.29.

Meanwhile, insurer FBD Holdings fell back 15c from yesterday's highs to €33.10.

The most traded stocks this morning were CRH, Grafton, Ryanair, Bank of Ireland and Anglo Irish.
