New water treatment facilities needed - report
22/08/2005 - 16:36:28A major study of the waste water infrastructure shows that 29 catchment areas with populations of 1,000 or more require new treatment facilities.
A further 20 need upgrading of existing facilities.
The government-commissioned report shows that we are now 90% compliant with European directives - just five years ago that figure stood at 25%.
