Ireland up one position to 14th in FIFA rankings
17/08/2005 - 16:43:15The Republic of Ireland have moved to 14th place in the latest FIFA official world rankings, up one place.
Ireland’s World Cup qualifying group opponents France have dropped two places to joint ninth, while our opponents this evening, Italy are just two points ahead of us, in 11th place.
England have moved up one spot to seventh, while the top six teams remain the same – Brazil, Argentina and the Netherlands occupy the top three positions, followed by the Czech Republic, Mexico and the USA.
