Man in custody after €70,000 cocaine seizure in Dublin
17/08/2005 - 08:26:40Gardaí in Dublin are questioning a 40-year-old man in connection with a cocaine seizure in the Clondalkin area of the city last night.
The man was arrested at Parkgate Street in Dublin city centre yesterday evening under the Drug Trafficking Act.
In a follow-up operation at around 9pm, a kilo of cocaine which Gardaí said was worth €70,000 was seized during a raid on a house in the Deansrath area of Clondalkin.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the house, but was later released without charge, as was another man in his 40s who was also detained in the Parkgate Street area.
