Govt urged to draw up special needs education plans
15/08/2005 - 12:03:37The National Disability Authority has called on the Government to begin a process of drawing up individual education plans for all special needs pupils in Ireland.
In a report published today, the authority said legislation introduced last year on special needs education provided an opportunity for the introduction of such plans.
It said the Government should now examine how these policies have been implemented in other countries in order to ensure Irish children get the best possible education.
