Iraq car bomb kills one, injures nine
02/08/2005 - 10:08:15A car bomb targeting Iraqi police blew up in the central Iraqi city of Baqouba, killing one civilian and injuring nine others.
The parked car filled with explosives detonated as a police patrol drove by, said Lt. Col. Mudhafar Mohamed.
Among the nine wounded were seven policemen and two civilians, said Dr. Ammar Abdul Karim from Baqouba Hospital.
Baqouba, about 35 miles north-east of Baghdad, has been the site of numerous attacks by insurgents.
