Leech rescues point for Drogs

Mark Leech rescued a point for Drogheda today with a last minute equaliser.
Drogheda, keen to end a run of three defeats, had the better of a scoreless first half, but efforts from Sami Ristila and then Jermaine Sandvliet were well stopped by Town keeper Stephen O’Brien.
It looked to have gone pear-shaped for Drogheda on 72 minutes when Graham Gartland was sent off in giving away a penalty from which Town skipper Berry Ferguson put his side in front.
But Leech popped up in the final minute to salvage a point.
