Fenn double restores Cork's seven-point lead

Neale Fenn scored twice - and missed a penalty - as Cork restored their seven-point lead at the top of the table.

Cork dominated the first half and finally broke the deadlock three minutes before the break. John O’Flynn’s shot was merely parried by Saints’ keeper Barry Ryan and Fenn following up to score.

Saints lost new singing Alan Reilly, sent off for a second booking, on 62 minutes before Fenn sealed Cork’s win ten minutes from time with his second goal. Fenn then had a penalty saved by Ryan before blazing the rebound over the bar.
