Real clinch Baptista for €20m

Real Madrid have agreed to sign Julio Baptista from Sevilla for €20m.

The Brazilian striker has signed a five-year contract and will be presented as a Madrid player on Monday, provided he passes a medical.

Sevilla received a similar bid from Arsenal but Baptista was eager to spend another year in Spain in order to qualify for an EU passport.
