Man arrested after serious stabbing in Clare
29/07/2005 - 13:47:44Gardaí in Co Clare have arrested a man in connection with a serious stabbing in Liscannor, near Lahinch, early today.
The victim, a 28-year-old foreign national, was stabbed in the face and neck with a broken bottle at the restaurant where he worked as a chef just after 4am.
He was taken to hospital in Ennis, where his condition is described as stable.
The man in custody, who is also a foreign national, was arrested shortly after midday.
