Osbourne blames 'fat immigrant' jibes for abuse woes
Rocker Kelly Osbourne believes her drug problems stem from being branded a "fat immigrant" by her classmates.
In her early teens, the outspoken star moved with her father Ozzy, mother Sharon, older sister Aimee and younger brother Jack from Britain to America, and the Shut Up! Singer admits she was distraught when she encountered such strong rejection among her peers.
She says: "I moved from the countryside in England to Beverly Hills when I was 12, and I did not have friends. I mean, I would sit in class, and a kid would whisper in my ear: 'Go back to England, you fat immigrant,' and I'd be like: 'Mom, get me out of here!'
"And then an older friend of our family thought it would be funny to take me and my brother to clubs. I think I was 13 when I went to my first one. I got drunk and was like: 'This is so fun - people like me, and they're not making fun of me.'
"Then I'd tell kids at school, and they kind of thought I was cool because I went."
And Osbourne admits that much of her social group at clubs consisted of adult celebrities who should've known better.
She adds: "I was the cool little girl they were showing around LA. I think they saw me as interesting because of who my family was, and I had money and strong opinions."
