Envoy: No Pakistanis involved in Egypt attacks
26/07/2005 - 09:50:30No Pakistanis were involved in the deadly bombings at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, the Egyptian ambassador said today.
“No Pakistani national was involved in the terrorist attacks that rocked Sharm el-Sheikh late last Saturday,” the Egyptian Embassy in Islamabad said in a statement.
Ambassador Hussein Haridy said he informed the Pakistani government late yesterday of Egypt’s conclusion.
Egyptian police investigators said yesterday they were searching for six Pakistani men, and circulated photographs of the six who have apparently been missing since before the attacks at checkpoints in and around Sharm el-Sheikh.
