Stone-throwers injure doctor in hospital attack

A doctor was injured when stone throwers attacked a hospital building.

Thugs targeted the out-of-hours GP centre at the Mater Hospital on north Belfast’s Crumlin Road, police said.

Staff reported a group of youths attacked the windows and cars parked at the complex.

A police spokeswoman added: “A female doctor sustained an arm injury when she was struck by a piece of glass smashed by the stone-throwers.”
