Govt monitoring London incidents, says McDowell
21/07/2005 - 15:23:12The Government is closely monitoring today’s incidents in London, Minister for Justice Michael McDowell said.
“I’m looking carefully and I’m being kept informed of what’s happening in London," Minister McDowell said today.
"It does appear there have been a series of minor explosions and their precise significance is unclear at the moment, the content and the nature of the explosives and the like.
“But there is the closest cooperation always between security authorities in Britain and Ireland and that will continue. There is no specific Irish link to this of which I am aware,” he said.
