Aer Lingus document proposed pushing staff out
20/07/2005 - 08:24:48Aer Lingus has confirmed a company document proposed introducing a range of measures to make life difficult for its staff in an effort to secure almost 2,000 voluntary redundancies.
Reports this morning said a document had been drawn up suggesting the introduction of tacky uniforms, awkward shift patterns and tedious training programmes for pilots.
The so-called "environmental push factors" were reportedly included in a business strategy drawn up last year.
Responding to the reports, Aer Lingus insisted that the measures were part of a discussion document that was never implemented and would never be implemented.
