Purse keen to stay with West Brom
19/07/2005 - 13:14:29West Brom defender Darren Purse has dismissed speculation he is poised to join Cardiff or Southampton by ruling out a move away from The Hawthorns.
The 28-year-old former Birmingham centre-back has reportedly been a target for Bluebirds boss Dave Jones and Saints chief Harry Redknapp.
But Purse said: “I’ve heard I’m going to Crdiff, but as far as I’m concerned it’s just paper talk.
“I’m really happy here at West Brom and don’t want to leave the club.”
