New Kewell blow for Reds
19/07/2005 - 13:52:13Liverpool forward Harry Kewell will undergo surgery on a hernia problem today.
The 26-year-old Australian endured a frustrating last season which ended in him being substituted during the first half of the Champions League final victory over AC Milan.
However, the club today stated the problem is not related to the adductor tear operation Kewell underwent following the triumph in Istanbul in May.
A statement from the club said: “Harry is expected to be playing again in five to six weeks.”
