Vieira 'proud' to join Juve
15/07/2005 - 12:07:44Patrick Vieira claimed he was “really proud” to join Juventus today after completing his £13.7m (€19.9m) transfer from Arsenal.
The 29-year-old former Gunners captain has signed a five-year contract after passing a medical in Turin.
Vieira told Sky Sports News: “Juventus is a fantastic achievement in my career. I am really proud and happy. It’s a really big challenge but I am ready for that.
“When you spend nine years somewhere it is difficult. When you make a decision, you think about what you want to achieve. It was difficult but that’s life.”
