Chelsea bid £18m for Wright-Phillips
15/07/2005 - 17:18:28Chelsea have made a substantial bid for Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
The 23-year-old England international has been linked with a move away from Eastlands and to the Barclays Premiership champions after an impressive season.
It is understood the bid is of £18m (€26m), with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho keen to bolster his squad after clinching the title last season.
