Bookstores across Ireland are opening at midnight so that fans of the teenage wizard can get their hands on the latest adventures of the boy wizard "hot off the press".
Author JK Rowling has managed to keep the storyline of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince top secret.
Online sellers have reported massive demand for the book, the sixth in the Harry Potter series.
