Steady as she goes for ISEQ at close
15/07/2005 - 18:07:54The ISEQ edged slightly higher in trading today, climbing 0.71 to close the day at 6,598.04.
Banking shares were mixed today. Allied Irish Bank shares slipped 5c to €17.62 while Bank of Ireland shares rose 5c to €13.65.
Anglo Irish Bank shares climbed 1c to €10.40. Irish Life & Permanent also edged 1c higher, closing at €14.40.
Elsewhere shares in Jury's Doyle Group surged 15c to €15.60 today. Today the Irish Takeover Panel extended the deadline for Precinct Investments to announce an offer for the group.
Meanwhile budget airline Ryanair saw shares climb 4c to €6.65 today.
Pharmaceutical group jumped 18c to €5.98 today.
The most traded shares today were CRH, Grafton, AIB, Jury's Doyle and Ryanair.
