Gardaí name boy struck by car in driveway

A five-year old boy who died after being struck by a car in the driveway of his home in Co Meath yesterday evening has been named.

The accident happened when a teenage girl tried to move the family car in front of the house in Oldcastle.

The vehicle apparently shot forward, hitting the youngster and his aunt.

The boy, who has been named as Sean Farrell, died instantly, while the woman remains in a critical condition in hospital in Navan.
