Gardaí are not under-resourced - Taoiseach
11/07/2005 - 15:48:55The Taoiseach today dismissed accusations that the Gardaí are one of Europe's worst-resourced police forces.
The Garda Representative Association said it was concerned about poor working conditions in stations and an outdated radio communication system.
Bertie Ahern admitted that the garda training college at Templemore was full to capacity, but said that it was top quality and that the Government was putting a huge amount of money into the facility, equipment and personnel.
