Bank customers urged to shop around for current accounts
11/07/2005 - 12:29:09The Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority has advised bank customers to shop around for the cheapest and most suitable current account.
The authority said a survey it conducted found that customers could save up to €100 in fees over the space of a year depending on the account they choose.
IFSRA also said many bank customers were paying for benefits they do not need or use.
It said banks offered a range of different current accounts and customers should examine the various fee structures before deciding which account suits them best.
