Whitney approached to be Idol judge
11/07/2005 - 11:56:55Producers of American Idol have asked Whitney Houston to be a judge on the fifth season of the show.
The 41-year-old R&B singer is the producers' first choice as a replacement for Paula Abdul if she leaves to become a judge on Fox' spin-off 'So You Think You Can Dance' reality show.
Mariah Carey has also reportedly been approached to appear in the show.
