Geldof's daughter rages at Doherty
Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches has slammed Pete Doherty's accusations that she was to blame for his disastrous London Live 8 performance by making a pass at him seconds before he went on stage.
The Babyshambles frontman was slammed for performing in a drug-addled haze as he duetted with Elton John at the historic gig earlier this month, but he insisted his stupor was as a result of the 16-year-old putting him off.
However, the furious teenager claims the only contact she had with him was a "boring" conversation about his clothes, and whether he was nervous.
She fumes: "To my surprise he told the Daily Mirror last week that I whispered sexually explicit sweet nothings into his ear just before he went on stage.
"He really plays up to the 'cracked-out loser' thing. He was fine before he went on stage but, once he was there, he transformed into this shambolic drug-addled circus freak.
"I was standing with my dad, my sister and my boyfriend of two years at the time, and it is ridiculous to suppose that I would make a pass at Pete in front of them."
