Blues held by Students in dour draw

A vital block at one end and a crucial save at the other meant this dull encounter at the RSC finished scoreless.
A pedestrian pace to the game scarcely helped the first 45 minutes, though both sides created half chances.
Blues enjoyed much of the ball and wasted the best opening on 16 minutes when Paul Crowley shot tamely into the arms of Darren Quigley after Niall Andrews had flicked on a Packie Holden kick out.
Crowley prevented UCD taking lead with a terrific block on a shot from Connor Sammon on 66 minutes.
Nine minutes later UCD keeper Quigley rushed from his goal to save at the feet of Willie Doyle.
