Carey struck by Stone's confidence
09/07/2005 - 13:36:26Pop beauty Mariah Carey was amazed by the way young soul star Joss Stone confidently mixed with global superstars backstage at last week's Live 8 gig in London.
The Honey singer recalled when she was the same stage as 18-year-old Stone, it was a different story, as she couldn't even get close to her idols.
She says: "I was struck how she was mingling with all the other singers. When I started out, the same age as her, I never got to meet any famous artists. I wasn't allowed to. It was bleak."
