Deep Throat was, back in the early l970s, the first porn film to hit it big in mainstream cinema: big in that it cost $25,000 to make and it earned $600m.
The most money ever made by a movie, no less. So it seemed a good idea to round up the great and the good to natter on about what made DT so successful; like, we need to know?
There's a lot of interesting stuff here, but there's also a lot of psycho-babble from the natterers.
It was a successful film because, er, Ms Lovelace did interesting and naughty things and we all sneaked into the back row to watch it. Or are we missing something here?
