Katie wants simple wedding

Actress Katie Holmes isn't planning a lavish wedding to new fiance Tom Cruise - because she wants to keep her big day "simple".

In an upcoming interview with America's W magazine, for which the former Dawson's Creek star poses in a haute couture white wedding gown, Holmes insists she doesn't want a glitzy affair when she and Cruise exchange vows .

Magazine fashion editor Rob Haskell says: "She said she wanted a very simple, classical dress and a traditional and simple wedding."
