France raises terror alert
07/07/2005 - 12:14:24The French government today raised its terror alert system to the second-highest level after the series of explosions in London, said Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.
The alert level was changed immediately to red, moving up one notch on a four-level scale, the prime minister said.
Scarlet is the highest warning level. Villepin expressed his “deepest solidarity” with the British people following the explosions.
