06/07/2005 - 13:34:25
Workplace bullying costs Irish companies billions of euro annually, according to the organisers of a conference on the issue that is due to take place in Dublin later this year.

International Behavioural Consultants, a company that conducts studies in the area, claims bullying costs businesses around €3bn annually through knock-on effects like absenteeism and a lack of motivation.

It also said around 70% of victims went on to leave their jobs.

The conference due to take place this October will discuss the problem of workplace bullying and how best to tackle it.
