O'Callaghan re-signs for City

George O’Callaghan has signed a new two-year contract with Cork City ending months of speculation that the playmaker may be on his way out of Turner’s Cross.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from his hometown club since rejecting Cork’s initial contract offer last week and Drogheda United made a €20,000 bid for him earlier this week.

However, O’Callaghan has now decided to commit City for a further two years.
