Loyalists force abandonment of local DPP meeting

A group of around 50 loyalists forced the abandonment of a meeting of a local District Policing Partnership (DPP) in Co Antrim last night.

The loyalists, carrying union flags and singing God Save the Queen, continuously interrupted the meeting in Clough village hall.

The protest is believed to be linked to comments made by the SDLP chairman of the DPP, Declan O'Loan, about the re-routing of loyalist parades in Ballymena.
