Economists asked to recommend childcare improvements
01/07/2005 - 12:20:28The Government has commissioned economists to recommend the best and most cost-effective way to provide greater levels of childcare.
The economists have been asked to draw up a list of options for the Cabinet by the end of the summer.
Speaking about the move today, Junior Minister Brian Lenihan, who has responsibility for children, said the Government wanted guidance on the matter before making any final decisions.
