Longford lift stadium ban on Hoops fans
29/06/2005 - 14:31:18Longford Town have lifted the ban on Shamrock Rovers’ supporters attending Saturday night’s eircom League clash at Flancare Park.
Having initially looked to ban Rovers’ supporters, citing the increased security costs and drop in attendances for Rovers’ games, Longford have reversed their decision after consulting gardaí, the eircom League and Shamrock Rovers.
Tickets for the game will now be sold on the night as normal with Rovers supporters admitted into the away section only.
