Orangemen reach historic agreement with Derry nationalists

The Orange Order in Derry has reached an historic agreement with nationalist residents in the city in relation to this year's Twelfth of July parade.

Under the agreement, the parade will be allowed along the city's nationalist west bank for the first time in more than 20 years.

The deal was brokered by the city's chamber of commerce and has the support of both the Orange Order and the Bogside residents, even though the two sides never met face to face during the negotiations.
