Tomás Ó Sé to face disciplinary probe
Kerry wing back Tomas Ó Sé is to be brought before the GAA's Central Disciplinary Committee after attention was brought to an incident involving the player in the Kingdom's Munster SFC semi-final victory over Limerick.
The All-Ireland champions face great rivals Cork on Sunday week in the provincial decider but could be without 2004 All-star Ó Sé if he is handed down a suspension at Thursday night's meeting of the CDC.
He could be accused of striking a player in the 2-10 to 0-10 defeat of Limerick, an incident which went unpunished on the afternoon as referee Eugene Murtagh and his officials failed to see it.
The CDC is seeking an explanation of the incident from Ó Sé, who could face a 12-week ban.
"You can take it that we will defend Tomas to the very best of our ability and hope that all circumstances relating to the incident are taken into account," said Kerry county board chairman Sean Walsh.
