Harney decides against risk equalisation
27/06/2005 - 17:53:36Minister for Health Mary Harney has decided against introducing risk equalisation into the Irish health insurance market.
Risk equalisation would mean that health insurance providers with younger subscribers would have to pay money to companies who have an older, higher risk customer base.
BUPA Ireland who have a younger customer base than VHI had opposed the move.
