Marchers celebrate Gay Pride in Dublin
25/06/2005 - 08:17:01More than 5,000 people are expected to take part in a Gay Pride celebration through the centre of Dublin today.
The parade begins at a 2.15pm from Parnell Square in Dublin and makes its way down O’Connell Street and Dame Street.
An outdoor party will be held at the Dublin City Council Civic Buildings at Christchurch. Gay groups from across the country are expected to attend.
As well as fun and festivities, organisers hope to focus on political issues such as gay partnership rights as well as the need to tackle homophobic attacks in our society.
