Tesco denies destroying local shops
25/06/2005 - 08:31:19Supermarket group Tesco has rejected claims it is sucking the life out of local business in the UK.
The supermarket group denied its move into the convenience store sector was killing off communities in Britain.
It came as the retailer once again underlined its dominance by announcing sales were running 14.6% higher than a year earlier.
