Spurs set Arnesen deadline
23/06/2005 - 08:22:49Tottenham have set Chelsea a deadline of noon tomorrow to resolve the row over Frank Arnesen before making an official complaint to the Premier League.
Spurs have issued the ultimatum to their London rivals after their sporting director Arnesen was pictured meeting Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich on board his yacht this week.
Arnesen is currently suspended by Spurs after the club claimed he was the subject of an illegal approach from Chelsea.
A Tottenham statement read: “Having seen the photo, we have contacted Chelsea and set a dealine for the matter to be resolved.
“If we do not receive a satisfactory agreement by noon on Friday, we shall be making a formal complaint to the FAPL an looking to exercise other potential options.”
