Rain halts play at French Open
23/06/2005 - 15:35:34Play at the French Open has been suspended today because of an approaching thunder storm.
Home favourite Jean Van de Velde still leads the tournament after carding a 64, equalling the veteran Frenchman's best ever round on the European Tour.
Paul McGinley, Peter Lawrie and Stephen Browne are best of the Irish at the moment, all lying at level par when play was suspended.
