Lewis joins Leeds
23/06/2005 - 11:09:52Leeds have signed Eddie Lewis on a free transfer after the American winger left Championship rivals Preston.
The 30-year-old, who was out of contract at Deepdale, has passed a medical and agreed a two-year contract at Elland Road, with a further automatic one-year option triggered by appearances.
Lewis moved to England in March 2000 when he joined Fulham from MLS side San Jose Earthquakes in a £2m (€3m) deal. He made just 16 Premiership appearances before he was transferred to Preston in November 2002 for £500,000 (€752,800).
