Annan says world must reassure Iraq
22/06/2005 - 09:06:43UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said today that nations must reassure Iraq it has the world’s support as Iraqis worked to rebuild and secure their country.
“You send an important message which I hope is heard loud and clear in Iraq and elsewhere.
“The international community supports the government and the people of Iraq, and we are determined that the reconstruction of Iraq must succeed,” he said at the opening of a one-day international conference on Iraq in Brussels.
