China's Hu to attend G8 summit
21/06/2005 - 08:30:48President Hu Jintao will attend the summit of leaders of the Group of Eight major economies in Scotland in July, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said today.
Hu also will visit Russia and meet with President Vladimir Putin en route to the July 6 to 8 meeting in Scotland, said ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.
Details of Hu’s meetings at the G8 summit are still being arranged, and it hasn’t been decided whether he will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who also will attend, Liu said.
