Coughlan hails new EU rural-development agreement
21/06/2005 - 11:05:30Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan has welcomed a new EU agreement on a rural development framework for the period 2007 to 2013.
The agreement was reached at a meeting of EU agriculture ministers in Luxembourg today.
Ms Coughlan, along with Rural Affairs Minister Eamon Ó Cuív, said it was an excellent deal for Irish agriculture and other rural sectors.
