Jackson accuser claims system left him down
Michael Jackson’s young accuser believes the criminal justice system has let him down, according to a new report.
Gavin Arvizo has not spoken publicly since Jackson was acquitted of all 10 charges relating to his alleged sexual abuse.
But a statement obtained by US network ABC News said he was trying to recover from the ordeal and feared the verdict would deter other victims from coming forward.
Arvizo claimed he had been molested twice by the star and Jackson was arrested some nine months later in 2003.
A jury of eight women and four men last week unanimously cleared Jackson of 10 counts of molestation, attempted molestation, plying children with alcohol and conspiracy to hold Gavin Arvizo and his family captive.
The statement said Arvizo, now 15, wanted to be left alone to recover from the experience.
Jackson has not been since he walked free from Santa Maria court in California. His brother Tito and sister Janet both appeared at a party thrown to thank fans for their support on Friday night but the singer was nowhere to be seen.
He is said to be exhausted and recovering from the ordeal at home.
